Setting Up Your Computer for FleetwareASP 


Here are the ABC's: 

A. Printer Setup 

1. For XP users Click Download Thin Print Setup for XP.  For 32 Bit Vista & Windows 7 users Click Download Thin Print Setup for Vista/7 32 Bit or for 64 Bit Vista & Windows 7 users Click Download Thin Print Setup for Vista/7 64 Bit.
2. After downloading to your computer, open or run this setup program, choosing the default settings as you go.


B. Create a Desktop Icon for Remote Desktop Connection [RDP] 

1. Click Start, All Programs, Accessories, Communications.
2. Right-click on Remote Desktop Connection.  If Remote Desktop is not there, it may be listed under Accessories.
3. Select ‘Send To' then ‘Desktop Create Shortcut'.


C. Configure Your RDP Connection Settings 

1. Locate your new desktop shortcut to Remote Desktop Connection and double-click it.
2. In the ‘Computer' field, enter ‘Fleetware.com' (without apostrophes).
3. Click the Options button, then click the Local Resources tab. 
4. Under the Local Devices section, be sure that both Disk Drives and Printers are checked. (note that some versions
    of RDP require you to click the More button in order to locate and select Drives).
5. Now click the Display tab. The settings ‘peg' may be at the far right at Full Screen. Move the peg to the left by two
    notches which, generally speaking, will give you the best window size. You can try out various window sizes later.
6. Click the Options button again to shrink the window. 
7. Click the Connect button to log into FleetwareASP. Enter the user name and password provided to you. (Note that
    the password is case sensitive).


D. FleetwareASP Connect Set Up 

If you're an Outlook user and would like to take advantage of FleetwareASP's standard or enhanced Outlook
integration, follow these instructions to download and install the FleetwareASP Connect program: 

1. Click Download FleetwareASP Connect Setup Program.
2. After downloading to your computer, open or run this setup program, choosing the default settings as you go.
